PHOT201 Brief

Today was my first day back after 4 months off for the summer! It was time for a brief, which I have been excited about getting as I want to get my teeth back into a project. The title is 'Weird and Wonderful'. When the brief was being explained I was really unsure as to what I want to create because the brief is quite broad and open but since reading the brief again I have understood it more. At the moment I'm still unsure at what I definitely want to do but I've made a note of people I want to research. I have a base idea and topic that I would like to take further. I am currently looking at basing my project on fairytales and Disney inspired films. At the moment the film that's standing out to me the most is Alice in Wonderland. The artist that made me think about Alice in Wonderland was Tracey Moffatt who I am going to research into further. The other artists that I want to look further into are: Hannah Starkey, Alex Prager, Juno Calypso and Awol Erizku because I liked the work that we briefly looked at today but want to see what other work they've produced to see if they give me any more inspiration.
