"MEMORY BOOK"

The story behind the project: 

I wanted to focus on a project that was really personal to me. I started to think about what made me remember things, memory of course so I decided to focus on places that hold special memories to me. I visited places that I've visited in the past which hold memories to me. I wrote down what memories came back to me whilst I was there. This helped me decide where in that place I was going to photograph. The places I shot at were: Haytor, Dartmoor where I shot in the places which bought back the most memories, my dad's caravan, East Devon where I shot because there are a lot of memories that are held there, I decided to focus on using long exposure to follow my dad around and show what he gets up to at the caravan compared what I get up to and see while I'm staring out the window, Grand Western Canal, Tiverton a place that I visit every year and complain because I always get made to walk 5 miles and finally Teignmouth Beach, Teignmouth because I used to go every weekend when it was nice weather when I was little and have some funny stories from my time there.
