My Visual Diary: Week 1, Day 3

This morning was all about showing our blogs to other students from other courses. I was paired up with a student from the fashion course who showed me her sketchbook. They had been given lots of short little projects within the task title that they had to complete in just a few days. She showed me what she had designed and explained the design process very throughly to me. She had been asked to create an outfit of a hippy that she dressed up in. She only had about half an hour to create the outfit and to find a set to shoot some pictures of her wearing the outfit in. I was very impressed and quite overwhelmed that her group had all worked so well together in order to create an outfit in half an hour!

It was then my turn to show her my blog but unfortunately I wasn't able to show her on te iPad I had rented out from upstairs as the iPad had no charge. I explained to her what I had included in my blog and told her that I would try and get my blog on my phone so that she could see what I was talking about. Once I had eventually found my blog on my phone she seemed very intrigued into what my blog was about and kept asking questions about where my pictures were taken and what sort of things I did in my blog. She also asked me whether making a blog was hard to which I replied yes because I have never done anything like this before. We then got talking to one of her friends in the fashion course who asked if she could look at my blog. Of course I let her look at my blog because I wanted anyone to look at it and give me feedback on it. She was the same and kept asking me questions on where my photos were taken and how good they were.

I felt that this was a good experience as it gave me confidence in what I was doing and made me feel that I was doing the right thing. One thing that I think could have been helpful was if I had spoken to a boy because they would probably have a different opinion on my Wix site.
