I am researching into different landscape photographers to see if I can get any different ideas for what I could do for my Final Major Project. I have come across Adam Burton who is a photographer that has actually done a series of images based on Dartmoor.
About Adam Burton
Adam is one of the UK's leading landscape photographers and author of five books. In 2008 he decided to work as a full time professional landscape photographer regularly completing clients work for commission. Adam has also photographed in five out of the seven continents and now focuses his work in the UK, especially in Dartmoor where he lives, which is good for me. Adam's photographic background started in 2001 when he started teaching himself, he self - taught himself from what he had read in magazines. He put everything he had learnt into practice when he was on location in the New Forest or along the Dorset coastline.
Since Burton taught himself photography and started taking it seriously his images have been in demand commercially and since 2004 his images have been published regularly in national newspapers and magazines.
Adam Burton's equipment:
Burton also lists all of the equipment that he uses in order to create all of his images as successful as he does. I found this very helpful actually.
Nikon D800/D800E
Nikon 17-35 f/2.8
Nikon 24-70 f/2.8

This image above was taken on Widecombe which is one of the places that I am going to, to take some pictures. I'm not planning on taking pictures in the mist and fog on the moors but this is the type of style I am looking to photograph.

This image is more like the images that I want to take. I might also try some panoramic images as well as the last time I tried panoramic photography it didn't work out very well and as this project is about trying out new things or to improve all the time this is the perfect opportunity.
