This morning we got put into our groups for our different social media platforms. I was quite excited about being put into our groups because it would mean that I would work with some people that I wouldn't normally work with and would also give me the opportunity to see everyone's work from my course and to post them up and give them credit for it. I didn't know who was in my group or what group we were in. When I found out that we had Instagram I was excited but quite apprehensive as with Instagram you can't do as many things as you can with Facebook, Flickr and Tumblr.
We then started to think of all the content that we wanted to include, we came up with having everyone from our course to put their pictures in our shared Google Drive folder with their name on the file name so that we could give them the credit for the picture. As Instagram is different to the other social media sites you can't have a cover photo or create different photo albums but the most important thing about Instagram is the hashtags. Hashtags are a way of getting more likes on your photos because people search for images by hashtags. You can tag people in the photos that they have created but only if they have an account on that social media site just like any other social media site. The final thing we wanted to do was to add a profile picture but we haven't decided on what we want our profile picture to be.

We started to think about different roles that we could assign to people but we couldn't think of how assigning different roles would work as on Instagram you have to do the whole post yourself as other people cannot edit it easily, also you can't post pictures via the internet so everytime we go to upload a photo we are going to have to save the image to our phone and download the Instagram app in order to post a picture.
We have made up an email address that we can use to make our Instagram account and so that we can have any Instagram related things go to that email address.
