The Darkroom

In the darkroom you need to remember a lot of things in order for you to use it correctly which is what I learnt when I entered the darkroom. When you go into the darkroom you might have normal lighting in there or you might have the red safe light on. If the normal lighting is on you cannot get any of your photo paper out as the light will destroy it as the paper is light sensitive.
Just like when you process film you need to use chemicals in order to develop the film. The three chemicals to use are developer, stop and fix.
Developer brings out the image. Anything the light hits turns black and anything that the light doesn't hit turns white.
Stop stops the the image from developing even further
Fix makes the paper no longer sensitive to the light so the paper can be taken out into natural daylight without being destroyed.
The Process of producing the film is:
You need 2 litres of chemistry in each tray
*remember there is 1000ml in 1 litre*
Developer:
1 part to 9 part water
1+9=10
2000÷10=200
1 part = 200
200ml of developer and 1800ml of water
Stop
1 part to 19 part water
1+19=20
2000÷20=100
1 part = 100
100ml of stop and 1900ml of water
Fix
1 part to 9 part water
1+9=10
2000÷10=200
1 part = 200
200ml of fix and 1800ml of water
