Generation research

I am still trying to think of an idea for my 'The Others' project so I'm still doing research into what I could do. I'm thinking of the idea of the different genrations in my family but I'm still not sure what I would do if I was to choose this concept. I just typed generation photography into google and it came up with lots of photos that I like and could potentially try for my project.

I love this picture because it really shows a sign of family. I love the idea of the five hands showing five generations of this family. I could do an idea similar to this with my mum's side of the family because there are three generations of her family but I couldn't do it on my dad's family because there are only two generations alive.

This picture is very similar to the above picture but I like the way the photogrpaher has linked the arms to show an unbreakable bond between families. I really like this one because I feel this really shows what family is about.

I found this photo and I thought it was quite interesting because I have done something similar to this in my previous project 'The Square' when we were doing abstraction work on one of our own images. However, I'm not sure whether I would want to do this for one of my final images. On the other hand I could do something like this but make it 3D, if I do this idea I'm not sure how I could do it so I would have to think into it more.

Finally, I looked at a simple family portrait which I colud do but I think that it could be a bit too simple but I'm not ruling it out as it could still be effective.
