This afternoon was English again which I didn't enjoy. We had to write a formal letter to the New York Times in response to what we wrote last week about the New York Times. I really didn't enjoy writing the letter because we didn't have a lot of time to write it and I never write formal letters. The reason why we wrote the letter was because nobody really writer’s formal letters anymore, because I didn't feel comfortable writing the letter and didn't really feel confident in what to write I started but I couldn't finish the letter. Underneath is what I ended up writing:

Dear,
The Editor of The New York Times
I am writing in response of your article titled ‘Debating the Rules and Ethics of Digital Photojournalism’. After thoroughly reading your article I
I agree that the contestants should be disqualified from the World Press Photo competition if they have manipulated a photograph so much that it does not look like the original photograph but I think both you and The World Press Photo competition should be clearer on the rules.
One thing that I don’t agree with, is what you included in your content of the article. One thing that you decided to include in your article was an opinion from one of your managing assistant editors who also happened to be someone from the jury of the competition. I am telling you this because I feel that it is quite unprofessional on your behalf as you are putting through a bias opinion which in turn makes part of the article bias.
You also included an opinion from a seasonal photographer who has been disqualified previously
I found it hard to write in a very formal way as if I was to type a letter out and then print it I would use better vocabulary but not the vocabulary that I used in this letter. We got told that if our letters were good enough then they would actually be sent to the New York Times but I hope mine doesn't.
