I will be shooting at home as that is where I will find it easier and the most convenient for my family who I am using for my shoot.
I am going to attempt to photograph a set of three images to show the different generation bonds within my family. I want to have a picture of my nan and grandad holding their left hands together to show their wedding rings, I then want to have my mum and sister holding hands to show the mother and daughter bond, for my final image I want to hopefully create an image were my nan, grandads, mum and sisters hands all linking together to show a family bond.
I am going to shoot in colour but then will see whether my images look better in colour or black and white.
I will be using a Nikon d90 and a very bright desk lamp as I can't get one of the continuous lights home on my own on the train.
I don't require any props the only thing I might use is a table as something underneath the hands.
I am using models but not using their faces, I am using their hands. I am going to do this because it is going to show the generation difference without showing faces and is also going to show a connection.
I will be shooting at night but inside so I will have no natural lighting but I will have lighting.
I will be using artificial light
I might consider trying to take my images from different angles because I haven't photographed hands before and I want to get as much details on the hands as I can so taking from different angles may be a way of getting a lot of detail. I will be trying to use a fast shutter speed and a little bit of a shallow depth of field.
I have looked at a few photographers that have done shoots similar which have given me the idea for this project the photographers that I have looked at haven't been famous, well known photographers but they have been commercial photographers. I looked at R Jae Photography, Womack Photography and Allison Carenza.
I have done a Lighting Diagram to show what I hope my set up will look like but it could change.
