This morning I thought that I had finally come up with some ideas of what to do for my Final Major Project but unfortunately I have been over thinking everything and have decided that most of the ideas that I have come up with are very similar and could become quite boring so I have been to the library to get inspiration but I still haven't really got any, but I have been flicking through the book that I have rented out and I saw lots of shots that have been taken abroad. I would love to go abroad to take pictures but unfortunately I won't have the time or the money to go abroad but it got me thinking that I could maybe travel around England. The first place that popped into my head was London as it is such a lovely place to visit and is the capital city.

I have researched into one photographer that has focused a certain part of their portfolio on London street photography.

The person I have found is Nicholas Goodden who is a London urban and street photographer who also focuses his work on time lapse and cinemagraphs. I love the photo of his underneath of the tube station at shepards pbush in London. He has used a slow shutter speed in order for him to get the detail of the tube station sign but has been able to show the speed at which the tube is going and the peoople around the tube station. I would love to be able to document pictures like this in London and around England but whether that is possible I'm not sure.

The image above is from Goodden's album from his portfolio of work called 'minimal urban photography'. This image really fits to the title becuse although the image does look very 'minimal' as Goodden would say it does actually show the nature of what London is about in a very minimalistic way.

I have been thinking about if I did do travel for my final major project that I might not be able to travel around England as that would be quite expensive but I might be able to travel around Devon as there are a lot of beautiful places in Devon that can be visited on day trips.

I think this could be a good idea because I believe it links to the Day of the Life title that we were set at the start of the project, as my Day in the Life video that I produced showed me travelling which I enjoyed filming so I thought that a project on travelling could be interesting.
