This afternoon I had a tutorial because I haven't really had any solid idea for what I could do for my Final Major Project. After talking in my tutorial this afternoon, I have finally come up with an idea to shoot landscapes on Dartmoor. I have chosen four different locations on Dartmoor that I have found that really attract the natural beauty of the moors. The four places I have chosen are: Dartmeet, Haytor, Widecombe-in the-Moor and Bellever. I have created a moodboard full of landscape images that I really like and that I think capture the meaning of the moors.

I am going to focus on the four locations to show an investigation into the moors. I am thinking as I have my concept as an investigation into the moors the project will still be quite open, which will give me the opportunity to see what I can find on the moors without me having to refine my ideas to a specific idea.
On my mood board I included one image that I found really interesting of a women meditating on the rocks. I don't know whether this image was taken on the moors that I am going to but it made me think that the moors is a very spiritual place so is possible that I could find someone meditating, but maybe not.

I also looked into panoramics on the moors which I am interested in creating as when I practised shooting panoramics before it didn't turn out well but I'm hoping that I will be able to practise shooting panoramics and produce at least one effective one. I also looked into the standard landscapes that are taken on the moors that are effective but the final thing I looked at that I am interested in is the moors during sunrise and sunset. I am hopefully going to try to shoot some sunset images as I doubt I will be able to get up early enough for me to shoot sunrise images.
